As you can see, there are some really interesting topics to choose from and these just touch the surface of what they have available! We have watched many of the video’s in the history and science section and my kids have really enjoyed them. The videos are high quality, well put together, easily understood. Some of the history documentaries have a man in them that speaks in a thick accent, maybe Scottish or Irish?? not sure, but sometimes it’s hard for us to understand him. It probably won’t be that way for everyone, but we live in the south so……….need I say more?? :).
We use a lot of streaming video in our house so adding CuriosityStream to our list was easy. It is also a good learning resource for our Classical Conversations memory work. I try to expand our history, science and geography memory work learning through reading and videos and CuriosityStream has provided a great resource of videos and a break from reading. I place the laptop in the center of the table while they eat breakfast or lunch and turn on a video! Perfect entertainment.
These videos have also provided extra learning resources for my older boys with their history study of the Middle Ages and American History. It definitely helps to bring alive the topics they read so much about. The videos are captivating, entertaining and interesting and helps to give then a mental picture of the scenes in their books. I also just found out that CuriosityStream is available on the Roku now, which means that if you have one of these devices, you can stream them on your big screen TV!!
So, to learn more and see all the great videos available, visit CuriosityStream and also see them on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+.
