Homeschool Planet Online Planner for scheduling and organizing

I am a paper planner kinda gal, always have been. There is just something relaxing about writing down my to-do’s, goals, appointments, lesson plans in paper planner. I do use some digital planning such as Evernote and a Google calendar but a few months ago I was given the opportunity to review an online homeschool planner called Homeschool Planet. I have been using it for a few months now, entering our information, assignments, resources and testing out the printing features and I am really liking it. There are so many features and benefits with Homeschool Planet that make it more than just a homeschool planner. I am starting to see the benefits of using an online planner over a paper planner and I will highlight what I found for you so you can make a comparison for yourself as well.

If you have younger kids, some of these options may not be needed just yet but if you have a high schooler like I do that uses his computer and email daily, you will quickly see the benefit these functions add! When I am entering his assignments and think of something he needs to remember for maybe a project coming up, I can stop and email him right then. I can also email myself so that I will remember to go back later and add it to the calendar. You can add website links to assignments that you can find in the “search” box then copy/paste into your assignment box and never leave Homeschool Planet.

The beauty of Homeschool Planet is that it can be as simple or as detailed as you need it to be, whatever your needs are. If you have young kids that don’t need a printed lesson plan, you can use it to simply track lessons for your year-end records. If you have high school kids that need printed lesson plans and transcripts, then you have that option as well.

Homeschool Planet has been a big help in keeping me more organized with my lesson plans this year. I never realized how much an online planner can do and how easy it is to keep up with assignments. It also schedules our breaks and days off! If you need a better way to plan your lessons, I really encourage you to try Homeschool Planet by using the 30-day free trial.
